Deb’s passion for books, and for getting everyone reading, was evident from the very first time of meeting her. Deb has been extremely supportive and has attended Storytime afternoons at school and shared stories with our children, she has provided a book stall at a Storytime afternoon, she has organised a sponsored read event and has delivered an assembly to promote this and provided resources to engage the children. All of this has enhanced our Reading for Pleasure drive across school. The children were really excited about the sponsored read, especially about receiving the books that the funds were raised for. When Deb arrived at the school gates with them, one child shouted, ‘it’s the book lady with all of the books.’
